A Wonderful Birthday Present!

I just got a package in the mail from my sister Marcy. In it were these two beautiful antique photographs. They are so lovely!! It is really hard to find these old pictures wherein the subjects are smiling and these are both smiling so beautifully!! I just had to share!!

    Now you got me thinking, I have many cabinet cards (that's what those are called) that feature people seated on wicker photography studio furniture. I'll have to look and see if any of the portrait subjects are smiling! It always took so long for the camera to capture the image, the subjects had to hold still for a long time. Guess a smile was just too hard to hold.
